Getting ready for your big test? Use these resources below to ace it.

Official ACT Practice Questions

Review these practice questions from the writers of the ACT to help familiarize yourself with the ACT® test. For each question, you can click on your answer to see if you are correct. Five sets of questions are available for English and Mathematics; four sets are available for Reading; and seven are available for Science.

ACT Up - ACT Test Prep and Tutoring App

Try out this mobile app when you want to practice ACT on the bus, during road trips, and anywhere else where you can use your phone. The app is available on the App Store and on the Google Play Store.

Varsity Tutors

Thousands of free practice tests across 70+ subjects, complete with detailed performance reports. You can take full length practice tests or work on a specific subject or question type.

The Princeton Review

Offers both in-person and online practice ACT exams for free. After the test, you receive a detailed performance report with personalized tips on how to improve your score.

McGraw-Hill

Two complete online practice tests with explanations for every question. You'll also find problem-solving videos and other ACT prep materials like tips, strategies, and how-to's. The best part? There's no sign-up or sign-in.

Kaplan

Free ACT practice test, complete with a meticulous score review and access to the ACT Classroom Anywhere prep course.

Peterson's

Sign up for a free StudentEdge account and then register to take the test online. After your test, your strengths and weaknesses will be assessed, and you'll be better able to develop strategies for the exam.

Number 2

Free tutorial that teaches you how to approach each type of question, allows you to practice questions at your own pace, and monitors your progress. The site automatically adapts to your skill level as you go, so you can jump right in.

Magoosh

Free practice SAT and ACT tests (as well as many others for later down the road!) along with a platform for test prep (note: some of Magoosh is free, and other parts are paid). A very powerful resource to explore!

Choosing a college is a big decision, and having the right information can make all the difference. The College Scorecard helps you explore schools, compare your options, and learn more about factors like affordability, academic programs, student outcomes, and career opportunities. Use this resource to find colleges that align with your goals and build a plan for your future with confidence.

Here are the top 5 post-high school tasks to complete!

  • Be Aware of Deadlines

    • Ask your high school to send your transcripts to each college you apply to now and a final transcript report after you graduate in June.
    • November 1 - Most early decision, early action and honors programs deadlines are November 1 or 15. Apply early!
    • February 1 - Deadline to apply for regular admission to many colleges. Deadline for maximum financial aid consideration at many colleges.

  • Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as you can.

    • Request your FAFSA info to be send to every college you are applying to. This helps the government and colleges decide on loans, grants, and scholarships. Try to submit by November 1st and March 1st

  • Meet with our team to share your plans after high school, review financial aid letters and more.

    • The college-going process can be confusing and there is much to figure out. What is the right school for me? How will I pay for college? How much debt will I have? Does the college have a strong graduation rate? Meeting with your Beyond Breakthrough college support person can help you understand everything so you can make the best choice for you!

  • Tell us your college choice by April 20.

    • Secure your spot by saying yes to admission and paying the deposit before May 1, National College Decision Day!
    • We work with many colleges and can link you to people and programs to help with a smooth transition, making friends, and ensure a great start. But, we need to know where you're going by each college's special program deadlines to help you.
